We (Allah) have adorned the lower heaven with lanterns, and made them missiles against the devils; and We have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.

Allah har klätt den lägre himlen med lyktor för att användas som missiler mot demoner. Hmmm! Här behövs lite mer förklaring. Vad säger den respekterade kommentaren (tafsir) Ibn Kathir?

(Indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps,) This refers to the stars which have been placed in the heavens, some moving and some stationary. (We have made them (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin,) The pronoun `them’ in His statement, ”and We have made them” is the same type of statement as the stars being referred to as lamps. This does not mean that they are actually missiles, because the stars in the sky are not thrown. Rather, it is the meteors beneath them that are thrown and they are taken from the stars. (1)

Enligt Ibn Kathir har Allah gjort meteorer till missiler mot djävulens demoner. Men hur kan fysiska missiler göra skada i en andlig värld? I en andlig strid behövs det andliga och inte fysiska vapen. Lika lite som en Kalashnikov (AK-47) kan skada demoner, lika lite kan man skada dem med meteorer. Muslimer brukar hävda att Koranen är en vetenskaplig bok. Men kan någon helt ärligt kalla sura 67:5 för vetenskap? Nej, denna vers grundar sig på mänsklig vidskepelse och inget annat.
